Autumn On The Outskirts

The cooler air flirts with our skin and dares us not to don our hooded sweatshirts and jeans. The harvest season implores us to appreciate what the ground has provided, a veritable feast that will surely linger through the dead of Winter. The wood we chopped, the canned veggies and frozen fruits we prepared, and the stores of grain and herbs will sustain us. There’s work to be done, but there are also moments to reflect, holidays to celebrate, and gatherings to attend. This Autumn, here on The Outskirts of Town, we invite you to our counter, to our table, to spend time with family and neighbors alike, as we honor the work we have done, and brace for the cold to come. Cheers…

House Brews Coming Soon

Well folks, what we thought would be a smooth and quick process has developed into a cumbersome and frustrating effort. And yet we are not deterred. Construction began on the brewery side of the building in December 2024, and is almost complete. We have passed all rough-in inspections as well as some of our final inspections. So things are progressing, albeit slower than expected. We own just about every piece of equipment that we need for the brewery already, so once we get close enough, we can begin moving in tanks and kettles. We cannot wait to begin brewing beer on site for your enjoyment. Stay tuned for updates on our social media channels or stop by!

What We’re About

The foundation of our existence, we believe that beer is unique in its ability to bring folks together, to encourage camaraderie, to foster creativity. Currently, we curate a draft list that has something for everyone, on top of a bottle menu that will push guests to try new things. Soon, we will be brewing our own beers and showcasing farmhouse ales and traditions in all their glory. Check back for updates!

Beer

We take our responsibility as a neighborhood gathering place seriously and we work hard to put together a steady stream of events and activities that bring people together. Craft events, intellectual puzzles, retro video game nights, original live music, and seasonal celebrations are commonplace on our little corner on the outskirts of town. Check the Shindigs page regularly to keep up with the fun!

Neighborhood Fun

We like to say that our taproom is akin to grandma’s house in the country: all are welcome and greeted with kindness and warmth. We have a beverage for everyone, a lovely outdoor patio, a homey front porch, and a lawn for family picnics. We are dog and family friendly. There are TVs that show sports, but we’re not a sports bar. The vibes are important to us, and we love the comfy feel. Come visit!
