March Birthday Bash
Born in March? Come celebrate your birthday with us!
Each child (or adult) of March will get a little birthday hat and a bubbly beverage on the house. We will have homemade cupcakes celebrating you, and will do a toast at 7 PM to your having survived a whole nother year! During this short ceremony, any guest may raise a toast to their loved one or friend and say a word or two about that person for the sake of celebration, and when those are complete, we throw the drink back and cut the cake.
It’s fun, it’s whimsical, and we will do it every month. Because we want to celebrate as much and as often as we can. And because we love you and you deserve it.
Cheers and happy birthday!

Orval Day 2025
Join us as we celebrate one of the most important and storied beers ever brewed: Orval. The legend of this beer dates back to 1070 AD, when the Abbaye d’Orval was established in Belgium after Princess Matilda had an interesting experience walking in the Belgian countryside one day. She was visiting a natural spring when her ring fell off her finger. She was devastated, and fell to her knees to pray, asking God to return her ring. Moments later, a trout swam up and popped out of the water holding her ring. The Princess was so moved that she donated that land to the church, naming it Orval or “Golden Valley.”
Unlike most Trappist breweries around the world, the monks at Abbaye d’Orval brew just one beer: a pale Belgian ale with Brettanomyces. “Brett,” as it is lovingly called, is essentially a unique strain of arborial yeast that instills a funky, tart, and dry character to beer. Orval was actually the first Brett Beer to be imported to the United States, and to this day, we celebrate it throughout the country on one Saturday in March to share the legend and the beauty of this classic with new and familiar audiences alike. Plus, Merchant Du Vin, the Importer/Distributor of Orval, donate a portion of proceeds from Orval Day sales to US non-profits.
So what is the deal for Orval Day? Well, it’s pretty simple:
1) Swing by and order a bottle of Orval. We are selling the bottles for just $6 all day long, instead of $8, the normal price.
2) The first 22 guests that come through will get theirs served in the iconic Orval chalice and it’s theirs to keep.
3) We also have pins and keychain bottle openers that will be distributed among guests throughout the day while supplies last.
So make plans to stop in and have a pour of this timeless classic!
Originals On The Outskirts
Music is at the core of who we are as humans. We have been composing, playing, singing, since the dawn of time. It is elemental.
So is the experience of enjoying music in a live venue. And while we love just as much as anyone else to hear our favorite radio tunes played on a lovely evening, here at Brouwerij DuBois, we believe that local artists who write and perform their own songs need a platform to showcase their works. Their spirit and creativity only thrives when given a stage on which to let it rip.
That is why our series “Originals On The Outskirts” exists, so that these individuals can keep the juices flowing. Each session will feature two local artists who will only perform original works that they created. And our line up for the Spring is incredible.
On Saturday March 22, we kick it off with Tyler Dodson and Danny Vago.
There’s never a cover charge. There’s always a food truck. All shows are on the patio, so please dress accordingly.
We can’t wait to have you!

Vinyl Night
One night per month, we pull out the turntable and set the wax spinning. We do this because its cathartic: the phono-harmonic sounds wash over us as we enjoy a slightly more simple evening, one with a slower vibe, a few breaks in the music here and there, and tunes that whisper to us of days gone by.
It’s pretty simple:
We plug up the record player and play an album side.
You bring a record and we will play a side of it for the taproom.
The next guest does the same.
We enjoy an eclectic mix of music together over the course of an evening.
And we drink to the rhythm of the needle and the grooves.
So join us and bring a record to share. Keep it classy, as we are a family friendly establishment, and will not play an album side that is overly inappropriate. It’s bound to be a good time!

Classics On The Corner
A number of our regulars at Brouwerij DuBois are gear heads and love to drive their classic cars up to our little corner. So that got us talking about finding a time to get everyone together to do a little mini cruise in, which we were able to do last September. Lo and behold, everyone had a blast, with roughly 20 beautiful classic cars on site and tons of folks rolling through to check em out. We were asked to host again, and you know we can’t turn down a good time!
So we are hosting another rendition of Classics On The Corner, a carefully curated array of vehicles that we invite you to come admire and learn about. Their owners will be on site to share stories, answer questions, and of course, let you take pics.
We will try to post a list of vehicles attending as we get closer. The line up is invitation only as space is quite limited.
We absolutely anticipate having a food truck on site, and will let you know who that will be once we get the details ironed out.
Can’t wait to see you again!

Spring is here and what better way to celebrate than to do a little shopping with local growers, makers, creators, and collectors?! We plan on having roughly 20 vendors again this time, with another awesome variety to ensure that the shopping experience is wonderful for everyone involved. A full list will be provided soon.
There will certainly be food options available on site and additional details will be added as the event approaches, so check back often!

Our Cup Runneth Over
We are so blessed. Blessed with a community that supports us without fail. Blessed with great regulars who love us and have become like family. Blessed with dreams that are coming truer and truer on a daily basis. We are blessed. Our cup runneth over.
This month, our guest bartender is one of the coolest dudes in the neighborhood, Mr. Seth Carpien. He and his wife Cara have elected to support Sally’s Angels, a local non-profit started by a family friend and her daughter who has Downs Syndrome. The organization was recently taken over by Brenners Children’s Hospital, and supports local families with chronically and critically ill children.
Seth will be behind the bar from about 6 to 8:30 or so, but proceeds from our entire evening will benefit Sally’s Angels. Plus, we will have Mo Empanadas Food Truck on site serving up delicious empanadas and more.
Come make an evening out of it, let Seth serve you a beer, and support a worthy cause all on one night. See ya soon!

Super Bowl Bash!
For the second year in a row, we will be hosting a Super Bowl watch party here at Brouwerij DuBois. Come enjoy the big game with us. Both TVs will be on the game and the volume will of course be up. Wear your favorite team jersey, participate in fun games and contests, and eat Super food from Rob’s Bear Creek BBQ food truck, who will be on site until the 3rd quarter.
Join us for the last football game of the season!

Winnie Pour Wednesday
Our friend Winnie is always on the lookout for a killer wine deal. And her idea of a great pour is heavier than normal, and a bit cheaper than usual. So once a month, we source a killer wine, and oblige on the pour.
A Winnie Wine Pour is an 8 oz serving of killer wine for just $6.
One day only. From the time we open, until last call or we run out, whichever comes first.
Our February wine is truly lovely: Gundlach Bundschu “Mountain Cuvee” which is vinted of mostly if not entirely Merlot.
From Sonoma County, California, this red is absolutely packed full of fruit, with big purple plum and luscious berries that just keep coming throughout the sip. Layer in some mocha and smoke with soft tannins and you have a wonderful wine for the cold months.
Come grab an 8 oz pour for just $6. One night only!

Our Cup Runneth Over
We are so blessed. Blessed with a community that supports us without fail. Blessed with great regulars who love us and have become like family. Blessed with dreams that are coming truer and truer on a daily basis. We are blessed. Our cup runneth over.
So we have decided to launch a new series of events, on a monthly basis, where we recruit a regular or community figure to serve as “Guest Bartender” for a night. That individual will also get to chose a local non-profit to support for that evening, and a portion of the proceeds from sales that entire day will be donated to that organization. This is just a fun way to give back and involve our community all at once.
Our initial entry into the series will feature guest bartender and local legend Yevgeny Livshits, better known here at simply Yev. His wife works for the State Employees Credit Union, and he is in finance, so he decided that the benefitting organization for the evening will be the SECU Family House here in Winston-Salem, that provides lodging for folks in town for medical treatment. It’s a worthy cause and we can’t wait to support.
Yev will be behind the bar from about 6 to 8:30 or so, but proceeds from our entire evening will benefit the SECU Family House. Plus, Sushi Empire will be on site to serve supper.
Come make an evening out of it, let Yev serve you a beer, and support a worthy cause all on one night. See ya soon!
Brouwerij Book Club (Initial Meeting!)
Folks we are starting our very own book club! Our good friend Sam Pearce has agreed to help facilitate for the time being and get this thing kicked off because there is nowhere better for bibliophiles to meet up, chat, and read than our humble little taproom on The Outskirts Of Town.
This initial meeting is for anyone interested. The main objective here is to get to know everyone interested, answer questions, and to select the first book. Super simple!
If you are interested you don’t have to do anything more than just show up. As with everything we do here, this too will be a lowkey and easy-going scene. Good vibes abound, so don’t be intimidated. Come ready to provide your input and meet some new local readers.
We can’t wait to see you!
January Birthday Bash
Born in January? Come celebrate your birthday with us!

Our January offering is absolutely amazing. Jordan downed an entire bottle in one sitting, because he’s no quitter, and the wine is just that good: The Folk Machine “Into The Woods” Syrah
From Santa Rosa, California, this red wine is jammy, smooth, and insanely approachable. It’s got everything you could want from a happy red wine: dark rich fruit, easy tannins, and a hint of roast or smokiness. It’s superb and we can’t wait to share it with you!
Corner Christmas Kegger
Leave the kids and the dogs at home.
Wear your most festive holiday garb, no matter how inappropriate it may be.
Book an Uber or Lyft.
And let the Christmas spirit wash over you… or at least drink it in. Lots of it.
We’re gonna party, y’all!
We’re turning up the Christmas tunes, breaking out the Christmas beers, dosing Hot Chocolate with THC, and opening up the taproom for a good old fashioned throwdown. Food Freaks will be on site serving their world-famous burgers. There are fun games and contests all night long with prizes and giveaways galore.
Let’s go!
December Birthday Bash
Born in December? Come celebrate your birthday with us!
Each child (or adult) of December will get a little birthday hat and a bubbly beverage on the house. We will have cake celebrating you, and will do a toast at 7 PM to your having survived a whole nother year! During this short ceremony, any guest may raise a toast to their loved one or friend and say a word or two about that person for the sake of celebration, and when those are complete, we throw the drink back and cut the cake.

Yuletide Brunch
The Big Guy is going to take a little time out of his incredibly busy December schedule and stop by our humble taproom to spend some time with the kids. We invite you to join us for this festive occasion!
Here are the details:
We are opening a little early on this day, at 11 AM, so don’t hesitate to come out a little earlier than usual and hang with us.
Santa will be set up for kids to tell him their Christmas wishes and get pics taken. This will most likely be done OUTSIDE, even if the weather is cold that day. In the event of wet weather, we will move him inside. Dress accordingly!
Most of the activities for the day will be taking place outside and we expect it to be cold. That’s part of the fun of December!
Pics with Santa Claus are free, but we ask each child or family to make their visit relatively quick to allow for as many people as possible to get a turn. Please be patient in waiting for your turn.
Santa has to head out by 2 PM to get to other engagements, so we will stop letting folks in line around 1:30 PM or so in order to end on time. Do not wait until 1:50 PM to show up hoping to sit with Santa!
Our good friends at Food Freaks will be on site serving brunch beginning at 11 AM and wrapping up around 2 PM. The menu will include biscuit sandwiches, biscuits n gravy, and their famous Amish Donuts. The typical menu of burgers and fries may not be available, so please keep that in mind.
There will be a craft center for kids as well, where children of all ages will be able to finger paint both a Christmas Tree Ornament AND a Christmas Card all at once! This is free, but requires parental assistance. One per child!
As for beverages for that day, we will be selling festive Mimosa combinations, holiday draft beers, hot chocolate, and coffee inside.
We will have heaters set up outside, plus two chimineas and at least one fire pit going full blast. Kids should be monitored at all times to avoid injury as we work to keep everyone warm and comfy on this holly, jolly occasion!
Christmas time is upon us and we are so excited to spread a little holiday cheer. We hope you and your family will stop by and let the Christmas spirit ring!

Paint Your Pet
Seann from Studio SRV will sketch out a print of your pet (you just send her a photo that you want to use), and then she’ll help you paint your furry friend on a canvas that you can take home and hang proudly. This is a wildly popular event that sells out fast, so don’t wait! Sign up and reserve your spot:
To sign up, visit her Instagram page and send Seann a message. She will get your payment and reserve your spot.

Charcuterie Class with Montage
It’s holiday season and you’ve got to host… Time for a Charcuterie Board! If that feels like an intimidating task, we invite you to join us for a session with Michelle from Montage LLC who will walk you through the process of building out a charcuterie board of your own. She will cover which ingredients to use and how to pair them up properly, presentation and organization, plus how to give yours depth, where to get good ingredients, and how to add some holiday pizzazz!
This course runs two hours, and includes everything you need: the board itself, all the ingredients and spreads, and a cheese knife to keep. The board is sized for two people to eat, so it’s plenty of food. Wrap it up and take it home, or start snacking on it while you have a drink, either way works for us.
Pre-registration is required, so sign up by purchasing a ticket below.
Happy Holidays!
Winnie Wine Pour Wednesday
Brouwerij DuBois is home of the world-famous “Winnie Pour” and if you don’t know… well, you’re about to.
Our good friend Winnie is not necessarily a beer gal, she’s more of a wine and liquor fan. And when she wants wine, she doesn’t mind something affordable as long as the pour is robust. And so that got us thinking… What if we sourced high-quality and yet affordable wines and every now and again poured them out in more hearty, hefty servings? Could we do it in her honor?
The answer is a resounding “YES” so we are getting to it.
The December wines are:
TBD
Come try these excellent wines for cheap on November 6!
November Birthday Bash
Born in November? Come celebrate your birthday with us!
Each child (or adult) of November will get a little birthday hat and a bubbly beverage on the house. We will have cake celebrating you, and will do a toast at 7 PM to your having survived a whole nother year! During this short ceremony, any guest may raise a toast to their loved one or friend and say a word or two about that person for the sake of celebration, and when those are complete, we throw the drink back and cut the cake.
It’s fun, it’s whimsical, and we will do it every month. Because we want to celebrate as much and as often as we can. And because we love you and you deserve it.
Cheers and happy birthday!
Harvest Festival 2024
The growing season has concluded, and our labors are not for naught. We have accomplished much this year, and as we head into the holiday season, we reflect on our efforts, our struggles, and the bounty we have reaped. And we celebrate it. We do this with games, with drink, with feasts, and with music. But most importantly we do this together, as one community. Because any chance to be joyous together is an opportunity worth taking. Come be joyous with us.
The Tap List
Our taps for the day will flow with unique brews from some of the best in the business at incorporating real agricultural products like fruits, spices, and yes, VEGGIES! Carrot IPA anyone? Cucumber Basil Pale Ale? Sweet Potato Lager? Of course we will also have a Pumpkin Ale.
Harvest Market - 1 PM to 5 PM
Local farmers, makers, creators, and growers will showcase their products. Supporting these families is at our core, and we hope you will join us in perusing their goods and services. There will be an eclectic mix of offerings, from butcher cuts, plants, and baked goods, to soaps, crocheted items, and wood crafts, to records, clothing, and holiday decor!
Feast - All Day
Our friends at Smoke Revival Meat Co. are preparing a true feast. Full menu to come, but we are going all out for this one and you are not going to want to miss out. Seriously, they sell out EVERY time that they come, so stay tuned for details.
Fun and Games - All Day
1) Pumpkin Pie Eating Contests - At 2:30 PM and again at 5 PM, we will be hosting a hilarious and thrilling seasonal food eating contest. Who can eat the most pumpkin pie, without using their hands, in 60 seconds?! Our panel of judges will decide. Want to participate? We will take up to 8 contestants at each time, so make sure to sign up on arrival!
2) Best Scarecrow - We are doing a Scarecrow making contest. Enter your scarecrow by bringing it by the Brewery between November 1 and November 15 and we will post it up to be voted on during the festival. How does voting go? Well, anytime you buy a drink (any drink at all) you get a ticket per drink, and you can use that ticket to vote. Voting ends at 6:30 PM and the winner will be announced at 7 PM.
3) Fall Photo Booth - Get your family picture taken at our festive fall photo booth!
4) More kids games and crafts coming soon!
Music - 5:30 - 7:00 PM
The incredibly talented Claudia Valentim will take the stage on the patio to perform a set of original works that she has composed herself. She will play guitar, harmonica, and sing to cap off our evening. This also represents our final live music opportunity of 2024, so stick around and enjoy with us!

Sip For Paws
We are participating in the Forsyth Humane Society’s first ever Sip For Paws night. A portion of proceeds from all participating “sipperies” will be donated back to the FHS during a time where they need a ton of help. The influx of animals needing support from WNC has magnified the needs of this amazing local organization as they have redoubled their efforts in our area.
Wherever you are and whatever you are doing, make it a point to stop by a participating location for a drink or two. Every little bit helps. And if you are coming by Brouwerij DuBois, bring your pooch with you!

Brouwerij DuBois 1 Year Anniversary
A trip around the sun, and you were there for us all along. What a journey it has been, and what a view we have in front of us as we gaze into the future. This calls for a moment of reflection, introspection, and ultimately, celebration. And that is what we will be doing on Saturday November 9, exactly 365 days since we threw the doors open. And have we got an experience for you!
We have an amazing tap list lined up for you, some killer food trucks, and live music all evening long. Find all of the pertinent information at the Facebook Event, linked below:

Retro Game Night (Halloween Theme)
Retro Game Night at Brouwerij DuBois is exactly what you think it is: we pull out the AV carts and hook up old school consoles and play all night. The lineup for July 31 is:
CRT Station 1: Sega Genesis with TBD
CRT Station 2: NES with Castlevania
CRT Station 3: Playstation 1 with TBD
Big Screen Station 4: N64 with TBD
Each time we host Retro Game Night, we will have different games on deck. All games will be family friendly, so this is a great event for kids and adults alike. We will explore classic consoles and the best games of old. And it’s totally free to play! Just swing in, play a round or two, then let the next player jump in.
Special thanks to our friends at Retroid Games on Burke Street in Winston-Salem for technical support, inspiration, and overall encouragement to make this event a reality. Go check them out sometime!
Pup-O-Ween!
Yeah admit it, you dream of dressing your pooch up for Halloween. It’s okay, we understand. So on Tuesday October 29, we are hosting Pup-O-Ween just for you and your doggos. Find a costume for them, dress em up, and bring em out to spend some time with their fellow treat-or-treaters!
Doggy Costume Show - Walk your pooch down the run way, turn, and head back. We will all be there cheering them on while they show off their get up.
Polaroid Photo Booth - You and your pooch can pose for a pic that you get to keep to commemorate the evening and it’s totally free!
Spent Grain Dog Treats - Jordan is going to whip up a batch of his famous “Spent Grain Dog Treats” with pureed pumpkin. We have yet to meet a pup that doesn’t love them.
Prizes - We will give away three prizes for first place, second place, and third place for best costume. Hoomans should remember to share the rewards with their pups!
This event is free to attend and you don’t have to bring a dog to come and enjoy. We ask that dogs who may be overly excited or get nervous in crowds be left at home for this one, as safety is our first priority. All dogs must remain on their leashes throughout the evening, no matter how well behaved they may be.
It’s going to be a HOWLING good time!
Rekindle! Traditional Kolsch Service
Life is busy, and it’s so easy to lose track of time, to fall out of touch, to get swallowed up by the grind, to be inundated with choices and tradeoffs, and it can get exhausting.
Slow down. Reconnect. Rekindle.
We are so thrilled to welcome back one of our most asked about and sought after events, traditional Kolsch service at Brouwerij DuBois. What is Traditional Kolsch Service? Well, in Cologne, Germany, when you visit a Kolsch house, you only get served Kolsch. Nothing else. And table service is the method of choice. So you enter, find a seat, and a server will begin by bringing you a coaster and a Kolsch in .2L glass, which is just over 6 ounces. As you finish one glass, another is brought to replace it, with a tick being added to your coaster for each small glass of Kolsch you consume. When you are done, you can place your coaster on top of your glass to signify that you do not wish for more drink. And when you are ready to leave, you simply pay for each of the ticks on your coaster. Pretty simple, huh?!
But here’s the twist: we want you to take this opportunity to come enjoy Kolsch with friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, church mates, etc., and we invite you to specifically reach out to someone who you haven’t had a chance to spend time with for awhile. In a word, we invite you to Rekindle.
Why do this on Kolsch Night? Well, because it’s the perfect opportunity to let the conversations flow, to really stay in tune with your fellow imbibers, and to avoid distractions and the busy-ness around you. You don’t have to go back to the bar to order, you don’t have to chose between dozens of options, you don’t have to wave down the server, and you don’t have to do much of anything other than just BE with the person(s) you came with. What could be better than that?
And to top it off, we are lining up supper for everyone, which is covered in your payment.
We are currently booking full tables of 2, 4, or 6, plus single bar seats. Choose tables inside or outside when registering. The cost is $22 per seat, which covers each participants meal for the evening. For example, a table for 4 would be $88, but that includes a plate for all four individuals. Participants are asked to “close out their tab” at the end of the night by taking their coaster to the pay station, where our hosts will ring up each tick mark as a $2.50 beer pour.
A few important notes:
1) There are no substitutions on the food menu, and no other bar drinks will be available for the evening with the exception of self-serve ice water.
2) We will begin promptly at 6 PM so we ask you and your guests to arrive by 6:15 at the latest to be seated.
3) Supper service will take place from 6:30 PM to 7 PM for all participants.
4) You can stay for as long as you would like or leave when you wish. You do not have to stay the entire three hours!
5) Registration online is required and serves as a reservation of your specific table, and is therefore non-refundable!
6) Space is limited, so sign up soon to ensure your spot!
This promises to be a quaint, intimate, and fulfilling event crafted to ensure that you and your guests get to truly engage deeply with one another with little distraction. We hope you will join us!
TWO NOTES ON REGISTERING:
1) When you add your reservation to the cart, make sure you then visit your cart (icon in the top corner) and proceed to checkout!
2) Sales of “Inside” and “Front Porch” tables are non-refundable. Purchases of “Outdoor” tables could potentially be impacted by inclement weather and MAY be subject to cancelation/refund prior to the event in this case. A determination on this will be made 48 hours prior to the start of the event.
