Our January selection features two lovely wines from the Visintini estate in Italy, just a couple of miles from the Slovenian border. The Visintini siblings (Oliviera, Palmira, and Cinzia) took over the estate which was purchased by their grandfather and included the ruins of an old castle! The family, over the generations, has restored the beauty of the space and create an array of wines using indigenous grapes. They are wine geeks of the best kind.
