Team Connections Night

Get your team together, put your thinking cap on, and come play one of your favorite puzzle games in a low key environment. Here’s how it works:

  • Come in with your team anytime between 5 PM and 8:30 PM

  • Check in at the registration table, submit your team name, and get your game packet

  • It is COMPLETELY FREE to play!

  • Settle in with your team, pop open your packet that contains eight different Connections Puzzles, and do your best to sort out the categories.

  • When you get to a point where you think you have all eight done and ready, put the puzzles back into your packet and submit it to the Game Director, and let them score it for you.

  • Once the Director is done scoring your first submission, you will get your packet back and have another chance to sort out the categories you missed.

  • That process repeats once more, so you get two submissions that are returned to you to fix them up.

  • Finally, submit your packet for the third and final time to the Game Director and you’re all done.

  • All teams must have final submissions in to the Game Director by 8:30 PM at the latest.

  • Once the 8:30 deadline has passed and all teams have submitted their packets, the Game Director will score all packets to determine the standings, which will be posted on social media, along with the winning team announcement, the following day.

  • Scoring: Each correct category you submit will net you points for the night

    • +3 Points for each correct category on the first submission.

    • +2 Points for each correct category on the second submission.

    • +1 Point for each correct category on the third (final) submission.

    • +5 Bonus Points for each full puzzle (all four categories) that are correct on the first submission.

    • +1 Point for each puzzle submitted with the team name written on it for the first submission.

    • Max score per puzzle therefore is 18 points, and max score per set of eight puzzles is 144 points.

Each team can go at their own pace, as long as all packets are submitted by the 8:30 PM, and teams can begin to play any time between 5 and 8 PM. So come when you want, play as fast or as slow as you want! This setup allows for teams to have the flexibility to participate without having to be on site for any specific time frame or duration. It’s lowkey and easy!

A few final notes to consider:

  • Teams can consist of up to 6 people and the game is best suited for kids about 11 and older.

  • There are no restrictions on phone use. Trust us, these puzzles won’t be the kind of thing you can just search for anyways!

  • The difficulty level of the puzzles will vary. There will be a few that are a touch easier to complete, and some that are quite challenging.

  • The Game Director will score your first and second submission in the order it is received and that process could take up to 10 minutes based on how many other games he/she has to score and incoming teams that are registering. So keep that in mind and be patient!

  • The Grand Prize is a $50 Brouwerij DuBois gift certificate for the team, perfect for covering your team’s next attempt at winning Team Connections Night!

  • Again, there is no cost to play. It is FREE. So come by, have a drink or two, and enjoy!
