Originals on the Outskirts

Original music is the arguably the artform that impacts us the most. We listen and learn and love through the words of iconic singers and songwriters through the years. They move us, they inspire us, and profoundly push forward our culture. But they don’t just pop up out of nowhere. Every one of them starts somewhere, writing songs and trying them out in front of friends, live audiences, and online videos.

Listen, we don’t have any problem with cover bands and popular songs. They’re popular for a reason, and we love hearing them just as much as anyone else. But supporting local artists who pour their lives out into music that they write and perform themselves is imperative. So we are electing to do just that, and we invite you to join us.

On Saturday August 24 at 7 PM, we are hosting Allyn Raney and Sophie Danowski, both of whom hail from right here in Winston-Salem, to perform live sets of music they have written themselves. This show is meant to me intimate and quaint. If the weather is nice, the performances will take place on the patio. If the weather is less ideal, we will move the show inside the taproom. There is no cover charge for entry, but we ask that everyone attending be respectful and supportive of the musicians during their sets. Each artist will perform for 45 to 60 minutes, with a break in between the two.

6:30 PM - Sound Check

7:00 PM - Sophie Danowski

8:15 PM - Allyn Raney

9:50 PM - Last Call at the Bar

We hope you will join us for this unique evening of fun, fellowship, and music.
